چکیده

Obesity is excessive body fat and was associated with the importance of metabolic endocrine problems in somatotropic secretion functional obesity. Ghrelin an acylated peptide hormone produced by stomach, which a mediator growth secretory receptor. The activity ghrelin stimulates release hormone, appetite metabolism carbohydrates. Circulating levels healthy people increase during fasting decrease after meals. This study aims to analyze difference among obese non-obese subjects. A cross-sectional design research conducted August 2022. samples consisted subjects based on Body Mass Index (BMI). were measured using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method. data statistically analyzed Mann-Whitney Spearman tests. p<0.05 reported significant. 80 subjects, 39 males 41 females. There no serum group (1.45±2 ng/mL) compared (0.67±0.25 p =0.233 (p>0.05). positive correlation between BMI (r=0.247). group, there BMI. higher would lead levels.

Fasting and postprandial acyl and desacyl ghrelin levels in obese and non-obese subjects.

INTRODUCTION The potentially differential roles of both forms of ghrelin in obesity are undefined, and little is known about desacyl ghrelin's (DAG) regulation by meals. We aimed to assess changes in acyl ghrelin (AG) and DAG in response to mixed-meal consumption in obese and non-obese subjects. MATERIAL AND METHODS Venous blood for plasma glucose, AG and DAG assays were collected in both gro...

The metabolome profiling of obese and non-obese individuals: Metabolically healthy obese and unhealthy non-obese paradox

Objective(s): The molecular basis of “metabolically healthy obese” and “metabolically unhealthy non-obese” phenotypes is not fully understood. Our objective was to identify metabolite patterns differing in obese (metabolically healthy vs unhealthy (MHO vs MUHO)) and non-obese (metabolically healthy vs unhealthy (MHNO vs MUHNO)) individuals. Materials ...
